Homer my records don't record the death of John Shirah. Most of the men survived and were sent to Ship Island after capture. His record does not show his capture. I am not sure if we should draw anything at all from that. He appears on the roll as late as Oct. 30, 1864. Residence shown as Adinsons, Barbour County, Ala. Art G
