Palmers Company (Cavalry) was raised in Fayette County
Alabama and was composed of men 45 years and older. I
know it was in Demopolis and Selma. Can any one tell me
where they were actually stationed and in what capacity
they served. I suspected they may have been use as guards
at the prison at Cahaba. Any help will greatly welcome.
