Can anyone with acess to the CSR check to see if Frank Cunningham listed with Co.C 4TH Ala. Inf. could possibly be of Co.C 40TH Ala. Inf. enlisted at Sumter County, Ala.? I know that a Frank Cunningham enlisted in C.S. Army from Sumter County and I know that Company C of the 40TH was raised from Sumter. I do not believe that any of the 4TH were recruited from Sumter. Could this be a mistake in the records? Frank Cunningham could have been conscripted and assigned to the 4TH -- just speculation.
