I am wondering if any Alabama researchers have put together an index for the various companies arranged by county of origin? I did this for the Mississippi Regiments, but I have not seen one of these for Alabama.
I am particularly looking for a list of the companies that were formed in Dallas, Greene, and Sumter counties. Especially Sumter. If anyone has a list for those counties I would appreciate your sharing it with me.
