Thanks- to Ken Jones and Alan Pitts- J.B. GRICE'S marker shows Co.H. Family history (oral) said he was born in Choctaw co. MS. but it could be Al.which would put him inBall's- Hatch. His son was born in Marion co Al 1869 once again oral history. I could not find him in census records till 1900 in Winn parish LA ( they moved a lot ) If you could give me a source for records (ie; NARA or Broadfoot ) or other data It would be most appreciated. I would like to thank you in advance for your efforts .
