I remember reading a article in "America's Civil War" or "Civil War Times Illustrted" about this... If i'm correct the story was about a Souther Doctor the North clamied was trying to spread yellow fever/small pox by placing infested blankets and clothes in trunks and sending them north.. I think the story ended up being all false tales.. but it has been some time.. I will look through my old copies and see if i can find the issue...
