McCrory, Thomas Elmo[re]

Looking for information on Thomas Elmo[re] McCrory. Family "lore" has him killed at Franklin. His body was recovered and taken back to Lowndes County for burial in Hopewell Cemetery (near Bragg). Elmo had family living in Lowndes at that time. He had a brother, William Patrick McCrory, who was in the 7th AL Cavalry, Co. "C", having enlisted at Pollard in August 1863.

There is no apparent record of Thomas McCrory available in an Alabama unit, although there are a couple of "near misses" as identified by Broadfoot's Roster of Confederate Soldiers:

Thomas McCrarey AL 51st (Part. Rangers) Co. E
McCrary, Thomas AL Cav. Hardie's Bn.Res. Co.C
McCrary, Thomas AL Inf. 1st Regt. Co.F

Anyone familiar with Thomas McCrory? He had a brother, Andrew Jackson McCrory, living in Butler County, and there is a record of a Thomas McCrory marrying a Frances Beverley there in 1855 (same man?). And, while he was reportedly buried in Hopewell Cemetery, there is no listing for him (many unmarked graves there, however).
