William Henry Blankenship (Blankinship)was the 2nd Sgt for the 57th Ala Inf on its August 1863 muster roll. This was the last muster roll on record for the 57th. I've not been able to find any other information about what happened to him after this date. I believe he died while a member of the 57th and did not return home because his wife remarried in 1865. Can someone please help with information about William?
