Not much to report.

These were militiamen serving under a call of the governor for ninety days service. They mustered in late March of 1862, prior to the "draft" or Conscript Act of April 17, 1862. Under this law most white men between the ages of 18 and 35 became liable to Confederate military service, including enlisted men then enrolled in the militia. It soon became clear that the militia regiments then stationed at Mobile would be broken up by the Conscript Act, and were not needed since there no immediate threat to Mobile had materialized. The regiments disbanded prior to completion of their terms and members either enlisted in Confederate service or went home.
