As I understand, the NARA CSR's include the prisoner-of-war information you mentioned. For instance, the death of Pvt. Samuel G. Brown of Co. "G", 11th Ala. Inf. Regt., should be recorded on the registers of Fort Delaware as it was in his CSR. There are mistakes and errors in the registers for both names and units, but I'm hard-pressed to say how these could be checked without having access to the CSR's.

Limiting myself to just the POW records, a couple of interesting items come to mind. One would be the names of Alabama prisoners belonging to units that could not be readily identified. Those could make really interesting stories for those of us who want to know more about obscure Confederate commands. On a different subject, it would be useful to have access to lists of soldiers belonging to units surrendered by General Taylor at Citronelle AL.

Perhaps others can suggest other useful information that could be extracted.
