I am looking for the parents of MARY ELIZABETH GRAY
born 28 Sept 1869 in Kelly's Creek, St. Clair County,
Alabama. When she was about 18 she ran off with
CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS THOMPSON born 7 Sept 1847 who was
previously married. They went with the Posey Family
on a wagon train into Arizona and New Mexico where 5 children were born. Mary died giving childbirth to her
last child. Her husband deserted them, leaving the 5 children to be adopted into local families in Arizona.

I have searched for years. I am currently looking at
land records again, and military records that might give
me a lead. I would appreciate any information anyone
might have, or suggestions of where I might search.
