James Monroe Warrick, 22nd AL?

Looking for a soldier who does not show up on the Broadfoot Roster of Confederate Soldiers, James Monroe Warrick, sometimes known as Monroe Warrick. He was born 5 January 1845 in Alabama and was living in Blount County in the 1860 census with his parents. Following the war, he was living in Ozark County, Missouri. When the 1890 Veterans' census was being taken, he reported service in the "Alabama 22nd Co D". The original entry was lined out since this was a Union census, but the original entry is still legible, as reported above.

Anyone know of this man or his service? I found a James Warrick in the 23rd AL, Co. "K", but that was as close as I could come.
