A Confederate Soldier buried in Andalusia, Covington
County has the following inscription on his marker;
Lt Col John M. Snead, Apr 21, 1844-Nov 18, 1931;
he did not respond to the 1907 Census, at least in
SE Ala nor do I find him in Broadfoot's Ala Rolls;
any help at all ref his unit, greatly appreciated.
