My gggrandfather, Hiram George Shoemaker,was killed in the
Civil War. In a book on pensions it quotes his widow
E.A. Shoemaker as saying don't give the
Jemison warrant to anyone without talking with her.

Can anyone tell me what a Jemison warrant is?
