"Curry's Company" is listed as an Independent Company originating in Henry County, AL. There is a file on this unit in the Alabama Dept. of Archives and History, but I've not looked at it and don't know its contents.

There were also the "Curry Guards" from Shelby County (Co. "I", 18th AL) and the "Jake Curry Guards" from Cherokee County (Co. "D", 19th AL). Alan Pitts has posted information on Co. These latter two counties are from the wrong part of the state, but just to cover all bases...
