According to my cousin, my g-g-g grandfather John Gooden (Goodin or Goodwin) served in the Mounted Men Reserves from Randolph County,Alabama. Her source for that information was Randolph County, AL Pioneers, vol. 1, Feb. 1982. Can anyone tell me more about the Mounted Men Reserves and where I would find rosters and other information?
