If this website was located on a nps (National Park Service) web site then I understand that the National Park Service sites are part of a larger server that was court-ordered to be shut down for a time. Seems that the reason is unrelated to the park service: a judge found that the computers on which several government web sites resided were not secure enough to protect personal information about some native americans which resided on the same system.
