We have unconfirmed information that Thomas Norwood married our GGgrandfather's sister Martha Cox 28 FEB 1869 in Jefferson County, AL. This is the Marhta Cox that wrote the 1861 Christmas Letter I recently Posted. there were Norwoods living west of Buckville, AL in the 1850's and back in SC where the families migrated from, but we have been unable to date to find a connection. Martha's older Cox brothers served in the 40th AL & 19th AL. Her younger brothers served in the 18th AL & 38th AL.
