Thank you very much for your help on sorting this out. I am trying to put this McNeal family together and it has been more than difficult. Interesting on memorial as the McNeal family originally came from Georgia. Do you happen to know about battles in Hanby's Mill, Walker Co, AL where civilians might have been killed as I am not able to find their parents or a couple of their other children in the 1870 AL census records.
