Re: B.C.Reynolds Co.A Moreland's Ala.Cavalry

The record shows that he enlisted at Dickston Station, Ala., July 1, 1863. His company was assigned to Moreland's Cavalry Battalion as Company "A". The only roll on file is dated Sept. 17, 1864. At that time Reynolds was absent, left behind at Harrisburg, Miss., July 14, 1864. The note reads, "borke down."

The date and place (Harrisburg, July 14, 1864) fits the Battle of Tupelo (AKA Harrisburg MS). It also means that Reynolds did not accompany Moreland's command to Georgia during July and August of 1864.
