I have information that a William James Sherrer applied for pension as a Confederate Veteran in Blount County, Alabama in 1892 and in 1896. The source information indicated he was in Company E. of 17th Alabama Infantry. Born 1826 and died 1896. If there is anyone that has information about this man, I would appreciate a message. Place of burial, family, or any other information.
