I'm in search of what happened to my triple-great grandfather John S. Parrish/Parish. He was in the 15th Alabama Infantry Co. G. If anyone has come across him in their research, I'd really appreciate knowing what his service records was and what happened to him. Army has him listed as having deserted in Jan 1864 but when viewing the muster rolls, he's been pretty much present up till a certain point so I hardly would think he'd have deserted specially having a brother in the same co. and family has always said that if he had been able, he'd have returned
to his wife and daughters that he left behind. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
