It's surprising to learn that more than one person with this name could be living in the Southern states in 1860, but there were. Born February 23, 1846, your James Warren Taylor may be a little young to have served. If he did enroll, it must have been fairly late, and records of the 1864-65 period are often scanty. I find no pension application filed in his name, and unfortunately he died just before the 1907 census of Confederate veterans was taken. James Warren Taylor was buried at Good Hope Cemetery, Andalusia AL.
