Dear, Mr. Pitts,

I would like to thank you very much for finding this information out for me. You don't know how much it means to me. The only thing I was able to learn was that he was taken prisoner and died on a troop ship and thrown over board after he died, but, have no idea if this is accurate. I will be trying learn if this information is correct. I would also like to thank you for the information on my other great great Uncle Joshua Earl Preston. He is buried in Navasota, Texas and we know of no living immediate relatives. His only grandson was killed in France during WWII and is buried there with the Third Army.

Any additional tips on how I can begin learning researching methods would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you so very much.

I just joined the SCV two months ago and am looking forward to getting involved.
