Along the same lines, but on the same subject, I have been told that Higgins business partner, John Turrentine had been involved in the Civil War. I know his son,

John James was, but so far, I haven't found anything on the father. There are several Turrentines listed, includeing a John R. Turrentine, but one the grave stone,

the name is listed as John (no middle initial) Turrentine. This may be faulty reasoning, but if his business partner, H.H. Higgins, born in 1802, was involved, then

Turrentine, born in 1811, might have been. Just trying to follow all possible leads. Thanks.
