Thanks for the information...I only became aware of this ancestor about 18 months ago when I found an old family cemetery where he and his brother James, also a Confederate Soldier are buried. In trying to reclaim this cemetery from nature and restore it, I became very interested in this side of my family. I went to Sharpsburg this summer and walked in the "sunken road" or Bloody Lane as it is called. To walk in the footsteps of ones ancestors is very interesting. Shirley
