Hi Bill

Thanks a lot. Being on the wrong side of the pond, despite the net, can be a real pain for obtaining information. Meanwhile, would you be able to confirm which 4 Alabama militia companies Col John B. Todd took to take over Fort Morgan on 3rd January 1861? I know for certain that the "Governors Guards" of Selma (later Coy "A" 4th Alabama Infantry Regt.) was one. I believe that the "Independent Selma Blues" (later a company in the 2nd Alabama Infantry Regt.) may have been another, but I definitely don't know the other 2.
