Auburn University Special Collections has a document or documents on Camp Watts. Also, Juliet Opie Hopkins served as a nurse there during the war. Her wartime experiences are amply recorded and may include some reference to camp location, south or northeast of town. The camp site was located by Confederate authorities, so it must have been near the rail line not far from town. If I understand, the location is said to be on Union Camp Road near an abandoned RR spur.
