Dr. Robert Thomas Searcy

Robert Thomas Searcy, M.D., was born in Bedford County, Tenn., January 11, 1824. He was educated in Bedford County, Tenn. He took his degree of M.D. at Nashville. He subsequently located in Lincoln County, and practiced there, and in Fayetteville, until the breaking out of the war, when he entered the Confederate Army, as surgeon of the post, at Camp Trousdale. After the war, Dr. Searcy practiced medicine in Huntsville, Ala., from 1866 to 1873, when he moved to Decatur. In 1876 he located at Cullman, and died there in 1889.
