Pamela --

The 1910 census for Wilcox County shows your family as described, head of household James Knight born in AL in 1862. In 1880 he is present in the household of Thomas Knight, age 61, born SC. In 1860 Thomas and Rebecca Knight lived in Mobile Ward 6, where he worked as a policeman. Rebecca Knight filed for a pension in her husband's name after his death in 1899. Evidently she responded to the 1907 veterans census, giving his name as Thomas Welborn Knight. She said he was wounded at Resaca GA and Franklin TN.

ADAH rolls unavailable at the National Archives show that Thomas Knight enlisted at Mobile AL, Feb. 16, 1863.
