Another wonderful article -- thanks again. Here are a few of the officers mentioned in the article:

Unit commanders:
41st Alabama, Col. Martin Luther Stansel.
43rd Alabama, Maj. William J. Mims. 59th Alabama, Lt. Col. 59th Alabama: George W. Huguley.
60th Alabama, Col. John William Augustine Sanford.
23rd Alabama Battn., Maj. Nicholas Stallworth, Jr.

All but Huguley surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia, April 9, 1865.

Captains mentioned (and not mentioned):

Company “C”, 41st Alabama, John C. Moorhead.
Company C, 43rd Alabama, Samuel W. McAliley.
Company F, 43rd Alabama, Winfield Woolf, Jr.
Company I, 43rd Alabama, Edward Freeman Comegys.
Company H, 59th Alabama, Zach Daniel.
Company I, 59th Alabama, Richard Fuller Manly.

Capt. Daniel was killed on March 25th; all the others were captured on that date and sent to Fort Delaware.

Lt. Col. Daniel Shipman Troy of the 60th Alabama was wounded and captured at Watkins House, Virginia, March 25, 1865, and later relased at Washington, DC, June 16, 1865.
