John Thomas Pierce was mine Great-Greatgrandfather. His widow Sarah Downs is buried in the Hopewell Community of Southeastern Itawamba County Mississippi. Are you related to John Thomas and if you are, what is your connection. My Grandmother Becky Lou Pierce Kerr was his granddaughter. She was the daughter of Matthew and Babe Jeffreys Pierce. It was always my understanding that he was killed at Shiloh, but I don't know that for sure. If you have a picture of him and Sarah I would sure love to have a copy of it.
