Re: Nora Isabella Snider (Snyder?)

Becky,
Brothers THOMAS HOSMER (one of your distant uncles) and JAMES HOSMER (direct ancestor of KATIE NORA ISABELLA SNYDER-HOSMER, your great-grandmother) came to the United States in 1633(?) and 1635. One of THOMAS HOSMER's descendants was TITUS HOSMER (1736 - Aug 4, 1780). TITUS HOSMER was an American lawyer from Middleton, Connecticut and a delegate to the Continental Crongress in 1778, where he signed the Articles of Confederation. His son STEPHEN HOSMER was also a lawyer and became the Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. An online search of TITUS HOSMER will also give more information as to TITUS HOSMER and his family and traces the HOSMER family back to the HOSMERS in England. The HOSMERS are renowned as founders of Hartford, Connecticut. What an amazing family!
