Isaac Hutton enlisted as a Private in Company D, 1st (Turney"s) Tennessee Infantry September 22, 1861 at Winchester/Ridgeville, Tennessee, recorded, present sick, on end of year muster roll, discharged March 15, 1862, receiving final payment on March 18, end of record, Martha E. Huttton filed a Texas Confederate pension for her husband Isaac, #A-27046 in Collin County, Texas

I would suspect he was discharged for a medical condition, disability perhaps.

A perusal of her pension application should provide you with information on his death. These papers are available through the service noted in the red enclosed box above.

Also, checking the various Federal Census 1860 through 1910 should provide additional information. Many Tennessee Confederate veterans hauled out West during the post war years.
