Hello I am trying to find out what units Colbert County formerly part of Franklin county Alabama could lay claim to.
I know A co 16th Alabama was recruited and formed in the town of Cherokee and that some of Roddy's 4th AL Cav also came from the Tuscumbia area. trying to put together a better picture of the Colbert County Area during the Civil war.
