Re: 30th AL Infantry in Georgia

Robert Holloway's file contains some very terse material which indicates that he was absent sick for most of the time, mid August through mid September, perhaps longer periods on either side of these dates.

The 10 day armistice Capt. Kelly describes is new to me. Could someone, Alan perhaps, provide more information on this period? Was this due to Sherman's evacuation of Atlanta?
