My great-grandfather, David F Farley, served with the Alabama 24th Confederate Infantry, Co H, and was imprisoned in Camp Chase at one time. He was wounded slightly in one leg. I know very little about him, other than he enlisted as a pvt in 1861 and served until discharged in 1865. It would be interesting to hear from others whose ancestor(s) served in the 24th Infantry, Co K. I have the gun he brought home from the War, which he had taken off the body of a Union soldier, and my own grandchildren view it with great awe.
