Years back I worked in Selma, and recall an old gentleman (who was a native of the city) state that originally a tunnel was used to transport munitions from the arsenal to a wharf at the river level. The tunnel was supposedly filled in in the early 1900s, and no longer exists. I was curious if anyone else had ever heard of such or if this was just hearsay.
