Lott's Diary

I am doing some research on the Battle of Brown's Mill, near Newnan Ga. "Lot" Carley noted in his diary that he was captured near "Rockville, Al."
Does anyone know where "Rockville" is?? Could it possibly be Rock Mills?? I know that Gen. McCook led a column thru (or very close to Rock Mills) on his retreat from Brown"s Mill, and there was a Union soldier found dead by a farmers well close to Rock Mills. Does anyone know where Thornton is?? My main interest is the Capt. Bagin he mentions at Libery Mill. I believe this is Capt. Boykin in Liberty Hill. If this is true Rock Mills would fit right in the line of march. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Tom
