Many of the cards that I have looked at had an entry from Surgeon Pitts sending Confederate Soldiers to the hospital or home on furlough to recuperate from wounds or illness. Does anyone have any information on this Surgeon Pitts?. I am not sure but I think he was with the 34th Alabama or the 46th Alabama.
