Steve, thank you so much for the quick response to my inquiry. Friendly Thames was my gg-grandfather (ggrndfather-John Willis Thames, grandmother Norah Thames Joiner). I have visited the cemetery where our ancestors lie-in fact, you probably know my cousin by marriage, James Byrd, who occasionally maintains it. I do not want to take up too much space here as I understand this is a site for veteran information, but I would like to correspond with you further. What do you know of the Stacey and Thames families prior to Alabama? Also, if my William Walker is the same one you mentioned, any and all information about him would open an impasse for me. Please tell Bush that I am probably a cousin and would welcome any information he may hold on Friendly's line. Again, thank you so much-I look forward to hearing from you soon. Elaine Zehner
