Okay, I just want to thank Barry and Alan for their knowledge and help. I guess what I'm really trying to find out now is whether William M. Johnson survived the War or not, and then maybe I could find out if he got married, had a family, remained in Jefferson Co., AL or somewhere else in Alabama, or whether he returned to Pontotoc Co., MS, where his mother and at least one other brother still lived after the War.
