Nicole, I am the gg grand-daughter of Lt. Miles Izates Taylor 26th Alabama. He is buried at City of Kaufman cemetery, Kaufman County Texas. He came to Texas after being wounded and captured at Gettysburg. He married Laura Alice Hindman and they had several children including my ggrandmother Lillian Taylor McKissack, mother to my grandfather Charles Sidney McKissack, father to my mother Patricia Nelle McKissack Sturges Fowler.
