Good show, I should have previously added that other duties he could have served included that of a teamster, nurse, etc. Could this be him? He is literate and signs his name to vouchers.

Lockhart for the duration of the war, receipted for clothing at Selma, Ala. April 22, 1864, Co. G, Lockhart's Bat., Ala Vol, taken prisoner n.p., n.d., received at Ship Island, Miss., April 15, 1865, transferred to Vicksburg, Miss. May 1, 1865, no further records
