According to records I've got, looks like he was a POW, escaped, and was recaptured several times. You have to wonder, to keep escaping and being recaptured, was he good at escaping.or unlucky, to keep being recaptured? Haven't seen anything in papers yet about occupation, or residence, but haven't checked census.
