That's the earliest wartime document showing HBW in service. We can conclude that he enrolled sometime between the 1st of March and April 19th, 1864. HBW might have been placed on board a train at Montevallo and taken off at Selma when he became ill. Eventually he would have travelled through Montgomery and West Point GA on the way to Atlanta, thence to Dalton GA.
