Alabama Burials, Augusta, Ga

In Magnolia Cemetery, Augusta, Ga., is a Confederagte section with 236 burials. Only five of those are buried as unknowns. However, most of the burials give only the name and in about 60% of the burials, the state from which the soldier served. A handful of the burials have newer VA-issued tombstones, with more information. It appears that the burials are only for those men who died during the war, or perhaps in the months immediatley following.
