Linda,
I live not far from Antioch West Baptist Cemetery and will look for the grave. In fact, my Confederate grandfather has a sister buried there. The cemetery is located west of U.S. 31 in the Bolling community. It is a rural area. The Thompson book may be out of print, however, it was published in 2001 by Heritage Publications, ISBN 0-7884-1969-2. The address for Heritage is 1540E Pointer Ridge Place, Bowie, MD 20716 or www.heritagebooks.com or 1-800-398-7709.

The cemetery has been surveyed according to an e-mail I just received. Apparently, he does not have a Confederate marker on the grave and, depending upon how diligent the survey was conducted, he may not have a headstone. Members of our camp are charged to record all men with birthdates from 1800 to 1850 and, obviously, those with Confederate markers. Sometimes, we miss a few in large cemeteries or overgrown rural cemeteries but Antioch is not that large and it is well maintained. I'll let you know through this site.

In reference to the 1907 Confederate census, I would check the Greenville Public Library for a copy and ask for information on the 17th. Or, go to the Butler County Courthouse. It may be online but I have no knowledge.
