Lieut. J. B. Ryalls' "Archie Cadets", 3rd Battalion, Alabama Reserves. Datre of election given as Sept. 4, 1864, serving with Major Stede's Battalion at Mobile, January 1865. Jesse B. Ryalls lived in Conecuh County, age 46 in 1860.
Capt. Noah Fountain's "Bartow Avengers" Noah Fountain lived in Dale County AL, age 46 in 1860.
Capt. A. G. Holloway's "Bob Jamison Reserves". A. G. Holloway was a Justice of the Peace in Tallapoosa County. Possibly a senior reserve company.
Charles W. Watkins, "Butler Rifles" - Seventeen=year old living in Mobile, Ala. Possibly an AVC company raised before the war began.
John C. White's "Cherokee Beauregards". John C. White was a physician living in Gadsden AL. Also the name of Co. "D", 22nd Alabama Regt.
Capt. William Jelks, "Confederate Guards". Possibly from Mississippi or Tennessee.
Capt. A. H. Lanham's "Estill Fork Guards" Apparently from Jackson County as Lanham lived there. Possibly a state guards company.
Captain Calvin Fay's "Etowah Iron Works Artillery". Supposed to be Alabama state troops.
Captain John W. Innerarity's "Garland Goode Rangers". John W. Inerarity of Mobile served with Co. "K", 3rd Alabama Regt.
"Garrison Guard" Co. G, 24th Alabama Regt. The name of this company was "Gulf City Guards No. 2". What was the "Garrison Guard"?
Capt. T. Williams, Jr.'s "Gilmer Guards."
Capt. Whitsmill Curry's "Henry Rangers" from Henry County. Possibly a senior reserve company.
Capt. C. S. Reeves' "Home Rangers". C. S. Reeves served as Assistant Surgen, 34th Alabama Regt., possibly from Tallapoosa County.
"Jake Thompson Guards".
Capt. Yulee's "Lafayette Guard". Almost certainly a Mobile company, possibly the "Garde Lafayette" which served in the 12th Alabama Regt.
Moore's Sharpshooters, idenified as Co. "D", 18th Alabama Regiment.
Capt. W. T. Shanks' "Pike Invincibles" from Pike County.
Capt. W. V. Cbardovoyne's "Red Rovers, No. 2" probably from Lawrence County, as Cbardovoyne operated a store in Courtland.
Capt. John G. Smith's "Tallapoosa Zouaves".
Lieut. John J. Dennis, "Whitworth Sharpshooters".
