Daniel H. Jackson, Co. "D", 4th Battalion, Hililard's Alabama Legion. He enrolled at Troy AL, May 6, 1862, and was killed at Chickamauga GA, Sept. 20, 1863.

Another man named Daniel Jackson served in Co. "C", Livingston's 8th Alabama Cavalry Regiment. Many officers and men were recruited in Montgomery County AL, but some could have come from Pike County. This man survived the war.
